On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the premises of Hydroma Inc. Canada in Mali—home to the world’s largest discovery of natural hydrogen—a drilling operation intended to search for water reached a depth of 150 meters without finding any water.
Instead of water, at that depth, natural hydrogen began to gush out under high pressure, forcing the drilling team to abandon the well and evacuate the site.
An immediate response capacity, a mark of leadership
As soon as he was informed of the event, the President of Hydroma Inc., Aliou Diallo, immediately mobilized a high-level technical team, which intervened rapidly to equip the well and secure the area and the population, to the great satisfaction of the Village Chief and the surrounding communities.
A strategic global player
At a time when the world was still questioning the potential of natural hydrogen, Hydroma Inc., under the vision of President Aliou Diallo, had already demonstrated its feasibility by producing electricity from this resource as early as 2012.
Today, with a financial commitment estimated at several billion CFA francs, the company stands out as:
a global pioneer of free-gas natural hydrogen
a structuring player in the future energy market
an operator capable of transforming a unique resource into global power
Beneath the “Crawling Baby” dolerite lies more than 670 billion m³ of natural hydrogen, confirmed by evaluation and qualification studies compliant with the NI 51-101 standard, reinforcing the scientific and industrial credibility of the project.
👉 Driven by a clear vision, Hydroma Inc. aims to industrialize natural hydrogen on a large scale and to structure a new global energy sector.
Slowed momentum, but intact potential
Despite this strategic lead, confirmed potential, and demonstrated technical expertise, the activities of Hydroma Inc. are currently slowed by the security context.
This situation creates a gap between the immediate availability of the resource and its full-scale exploitation, at a time when global demand for clean energy is rapidly increasing.

Call on authorities to support a strategic global project
The N’tekedo event constitutes a strong signal:
the potential is real, controlled, and ready to be harnessed. It is essential that the authorities take the necessary measures to:
ensure the sustainable security of the area
facilitate the accelerated resumption of Hydroma Inc.’s activities
support this high-impact project for the global energy market
Global-scale impact
The full relaunch of the project will:
unlock the value of the world’s largest free-gas natural hydrogen deposit
mobilize high-level technical expertise
contribute to the development of clean energy on a global scale
strengthen Hydroma Inc.’s position as a global pioneer in natural hydrogen

✍️ Conclusion
The natural hydrogen emanation observed in Ntekedo confirms the exceptional strategic potential of Block 25, which hosts the world’s largest free-gas deposit under permit by Hydroma Inc.
It highlights the company’s international leadership as well as the vision of President Aliou Diallo.
More than ever, mobilizing the necessary conditions for an accelerated resumption of activities appears to be a major challenge in transforming this potential into a globally significant energy reality.
